I.                    Approval of Minutes

a.       Motion called for approval of minutes as written; motion carried and minutes were approved.

 

II.                 Principal’s Report

a.       Building Issues: We are in the process of hiring a GCCM (General Contractor Central Manager.) The Project Manager feels this is the best way to oversee our construction project.

b.      We are looking for another Language Arts teacher. Displaced teachers have first priority. We have high standards for staff and no one has been interested so far.

c.       Sherman Alexie will be here June 4. We have adjusted our schedule to accommodate this engagement. Many activities are on the calendar including prom, Senior Breakfast, the Arts Festival and of course, Graduation.

d.      The Class of 2010 Family meeting was a great success. There was a lot of thoughtful feedback on mentorship and reading.

III.               Old Business

a.       Fine Policy – The sports packet has the information to check to see if fines are paid. The motion was made to accept the Fine Policy of 5/13, seconded; the motion carried and the Fine Policy is in effect. 

 

IV.              New Business

a.       A Draft Professional Development Calendar for 2008-2009 was submitted. This should be discussed by constituents and voted on at the next meeting.

 

V.                 Announcements

a.       Find your Senate replacement for next year.
